Silver Medal, 2021 Amador Wine Competition. Made from the premiere “Alban” Grenache clone, a rare clone typically associated with the Chateauneuf du Pape region in France. Grows exceptionally well at our high altitude. Ruby red, lighter body wine with aromas of strawberry, cherry, pipe tobacco, and fennel seed. Palate has mild tannins and a velvety feel, ample acidity and a lingering minerality on its lengthy finish. Pair with a wide variety of both lighter and rich hearty dishes – grilled salmon, game meat, spicy dishes such as Indian food, cheese platters and grilled vegetables. 13.6% alcohol. 43 cases produced.
