Silver Medal Winner, 2021 Amador Wine Competition
La Mesa’s Grenache Noir 2019, made from the premiere “Alban” Grenache clone, a rare clone typically associated with the Chateauneuf du Pape region in France, which grows exceptionally well at our high altitude. It makes a ruby red, lighter body wine with aromas of strawberry, cherry, pipe tobacco, and fennel seed. The palate has mild tannins and a velvety feel, ample acidity and a lingering minerality on its lengthy finish. Pair with a wide variety of both lighter and rich hearty dishes – grilled salmon, game meat, spicy dishes such as Indian food, cheese platters and grilled vegetables. 13.6% alcohol. 43 cases produced.
