Shipping policy
Legal Age Requirements
You must be 21 years of age or older, to order or receive alcoholic beverages from La Mesa. Receipt of shipments containing alcoholic beverages requires the signature of a sober adult (a person 21 years of age or older who is not intoxicated). Wines purchased from La Mesa are not for resale, and are for personal consumption only.
Where do We Ship?
Due to the ever-changing nature of wine shipping laws, we may be able to ship wines, directly or indirectly, to most states. If La Mesa is unable to ship directly to your state, we can arrange for the sale and shipment of our products through a third party. Please note, when dealing through a third party, wine prices, discounts, and shipping costs may differ from those quoted by La Mesa.
What if there is a problem with my order?
At La Mesa, we want you to be happy with every aspect of your experience. If for any reason we did not meet that expectation, we would love to hear from you and have the opportunity to make things better. Please contact us as soon as the issue occurs.
Wine is a perishable commodity. Wine does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. We time our wine club shipments for May and November to minimize these risks. La Mesa is not responsible for, and will not replace, wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment. When your wine order is picked up by the common carrier for delivery, responsibility for the wine becomes the responsibility of the purchaser.
In the event that we shipped you incorrect items, let us know and we'll determine a resolution. In some cases, we may ask you to hold on to the bottles and packaging so that we can arrange for a return pick up. If you find that items are missing from your order, we are happy to assist you process a new order or a refund for your missing items.
