One of just a handful of wines we make from neighboring high altitude vineyards, our 2020 Syrah (French clone) originated from neighboring Chapman Vineyard in Amador County which sits at 2,000 ft elevation just below the snow line like La Mesa. Bacon on the nose moving to juicy blueberry on the palate – this wine is full of blue and black fruits with medium structure and a pretty finish! A wine that cries “bring out the BBQ ribs!,” it can be paired with light game, beef, lamb or for a vegan/vegetarian selection -- simply grilled portabellas. Subtle infusion of French medium toast oak. 15.5% alcohol. 55 cases produced.
